SLIDING DOORS AND OPENING DIRECTIONS
Outline’s raised sliding doors are obvious solutions for, e.g., balconies and patios, where you want to draw as much life and light into the space from the outside while having the door take the least possible space from your indoor and outdoor space.
If you need a double door, the same opening directions apply as for single doors. Start by describing the door that you open first.
To the left or the right
Raised sliding doors can open either to the left or the right. Think about what is most practical in your situation. Maybe you need space on the left side for a large garden set, or maybe for a walkway from the door to the garden which is most natural.
Left-hand (LH)
On the left-hand, the door slides (goes) to the left part of the door to the right – as seen from outside. The moving part always runs to the outside.
Right-hand (RG)
On the right-hand, the door slides (goes) to the right part of the door to the left – as seen from outside. The moving part always runs to the outside.
